P/T After School Recreation Leader (Irmo, SC)
Seeking an ENTHUSIASTIC individual for a part-time Recreation Leader position. Applicant for the Recreation Leader position should have a high school diploma and experience with children, possibly through employment, camp counseling, life-guarding, or babysitting. Individual will interact closely with children and must have leadership skills, patience and a love for working with children. We provide drop-in care and after school care for children ages 3 - 12. We pick up at Richland/Lexington 5 schools.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
◾Assisting with homework accuracy and completion
◾Assisting in the preparation and distribution of snacks
◾Assisting in the development and implementation of the daily program
◾Ensuring the safety of the children during travel times and onsite
◾Maintaining positive communication with parents at all times
◾Planning, organizing, and conducting activities and special events
◾Performing cleaning duties as scheduled
Applicant must meet the following criteria:
◾Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma
◾Must have good hygiene, a neat appearance and be prompt and on time
◾Possess a valid Driver's License with at least one year of driving experience and a 1 year clean driving record (if applicable). (no exceptions)
◾Driver's record and SLED check must be provided if you are considered for hiring and pre-employment drug screening is required
◾Ability to drive 7 or 9 passenger vans or a small daycare bus (CDL is not required to operate vehicles). All vehicles are insured.
◾Strongly considered applicants will be required to prescreen work for 1 hour on two days prior to officially being hired to ensure they are a fit for the position
◾Must be able to work flexible hours between 9 am and 6:30 pm Monday – Friday.
Starting pay $8.75 hourly. Paid on Fridays.
