2019 Field Operations Summer Intern

Overview

The 2019 Field Operations Internship program will provide students with the opportunity to complete projects in a variety of departments within Field Operations including, but not limited to, Drive-Thru, Quality and Lean Strategy, Licensed Operations, and Restaurant Solutions.


Responsibilities

The intern will be expected to work on multiple projects during their 10 week experience at the Chick-fil-A Support Center in Atlanta, Georgia. 
 
Each intern will be assigned a project coach that will play a key role in their development as an intern. They will serve as a coach and mentor and provide the intern with feedback on their projects and other key development areas. Additionally, interns will also have the opportunity to connect with other department interns in weekly huddles and offsite activities.
 
Interns are involved in current business projects. They also participate in a variety of activities that help build relationships and business acumen. The intern will be exposed to top executives of our company via weekly Lunch and Learns, including members of the Executive Committee, Dan Cathy (Chairman, President, CEO and son of founder S.Truett Cathy), and other key leaders in the company.  They will discover the history of Chick-fil-A by attending the "Vision and Values Tour", as well as participating in community service projects with the Chick-fil-A Foundation.  At the end of their experience, interns are provided the opportunity to work on a cross-functional team with other interns and present their topics to the Support Center staff. In addition, Field Operations interns will also present their key project learnings to the Field Operations department at a staff meeting at the end of the summer.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree, returning to school Fall 2019
  • Capable of planning and coordinating projects
  • Ability to work on multiple projects
  • Organized and self-managed
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to create and give presentations
  • Ability to travel, if needed
  • Chick-fil-A restaurant experience required

Bachelor's Degree


Major/Concentration

Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree; Enrolled as a sophomore or junior as of Fall 2018.
