Packaging Engineer Intern (Summer or Co-Op Opportunities)

Oshkosh Corporation is looking for an Engineer Intern to join our team for either a Spring Co-Op, Summer Internship or Fall Co-Op in 2019! Interns at Oshkosh benefit from gaining a hands on internship experience, professional development and social networking opportunities that support our People First philosophy and the ability to experience our vehicles first hand. Internships may be located in any of our sites including:
- Oshkosh, WI
- Appleton, WI
HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE:
Facilitate all packaging related activities to ensure efficient delivery of materials and to improve the product flow along the supply chain. Convert wood and corrugated packaging to plastic and returnable containers to reduce costs and improve operational efficiencies.
- Right size required product and research alternative container methods
- Maximize material handling efficiency
- Maintain returnable container master by supplier
- Assist the plant Plan for Every Part Specialist in implementing reusable containers
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Packaging Engineering or other related field throughout the entire duration of internship
- Cumulative GPA of a 3.0 or above
- WHAT WILL SET YOU APART:
- Strong analytical reasoning or problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
