Project Youth Extension Service (YES) Internship-Summer 2019
Project YES interns provide youth development programs for children and youth of military families throughout the United States and US territories. Youth programs are delivered at Reserve Component Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program (YRRP) events. Staff interns are not required to be a North Carolina State University student. Interns remain at their home university but will travel to event sites to facilitate Project YES events. Project YES provides interns training high level education in leadership development, youth development, age-appropriate curriculum, and facilitation skills. Project YES interns also complete a career-enhancing project during the course of the internship. This will be accomplished with the assistance of an individually matched mentor. Together, the mentor and intern will complete a variety of activities designed to better inform and prepare the intern to transition into the work force.
Interns must attend a mandatory Project YES Intern Orientation, currently scheduled from 17-26 May, 2019 as well as additional training throughout the year (as required).
