Inventory Supervisor - Internal Audit Department - Charlotte, NC

The Inventory Supervisor position provides critical support to every store. This position is the Subject Matter Expert for all things related to a store’s physical inventory preparation process and the actual inventory day physical count. This position guides the stores during prep and is the liaison between the regional/district/store management and 3rd party provider on inventory day. This position gathers/verifies/validates all cut-off info; oversees the actual count; ensures all procedures are accurately and completely followed; oversees the assorted control processes including recounts and SKU Integrity Checks; and, ensures store associate involvement and accuracy within their individual departmental reviews and the working of their reports. Lastly, this position certifies the accuracy and integrity of every store’s physical count. This position also conducts checklist reviews and deeper data-gathering functions to assist AMP, Store Ops and other departments validate processes and roll-outs. 

  • MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES65% Lead the inventory day process, perform key cutoff procedures, certify the accuracy and integrity of the physical inventory and communicate inventory results to all levels of management
  • 15% Test and execute store audits and compliance reviews
  • 10% Provide training to store and district associates and management on store operations and all inventory-related procedures
  • 10% Assist with developing, testing and implementation of store inventory preparation and physical count processes and procedures

NATURE AND SCOPE
  • Position reports to Inventory Manager
  • Responsible for helping others and providing on-the-job training or guidance

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment: 
Usually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from such things as dust, fumes or odors.
Travel: 
Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.
