Recovery Specialist

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Participates in daily staffing of program participants to ensure treatment of placement, progress, participation in support groups, and level of intensity of care are appropriate to the participants needs. Attends trainings related to treatment and case management to maintain knowledge of current developments in the field of AOD treatment;
  • Provides case management to recovering professionals to ensure effective treatment and support of recovering professionals. Maintains a caseload of clients, participate in interventions;
  • Monitors provider services to ensure they provide treatment consistent with the MOA and intent of the RPP. Visits providers to promote collaborative relationships and ensure quality of care. Participate in quality assurance and outcome evaluation process;
  • Presents information during board and association meetings that relate to client progress and compliance/noncompliance with treatment, and collaborates with agencies involved in the monitoring and provision of services for recovering professionals.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in human service field with 2 years experience in the addictions field required;
  • Master's degree in human service field with 2 years experience in addictions preferred;
  • Must be certified as a Clinical Addictions Counselor through the SC Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors, or be able to complete the certification process within the required timeframe.
**The starting salary for this position is $35,000.00 per year. Salary will be based on the applicant's qualifications and years of experience.**
