About SCTA:

As a non-profit trade association, the SCTA serves as the voice of the trucking industry in South Carolina since 1933. Membership has grown from 17 dues-paying members in 1936, to a high point of almost 900 companies by the mid-nineties, to about 600 members today. The association's carrier members range from small, family-owned businesses with only a few vehicles, to large, national companies with major terminal facilities throughout South Carolina, the southeast and the nation. Small businesses comprise the majority of SCTA membership. SCTA has a staff of full-time professionals and owns its headquarters at 2425 Devine Street in Columbia. Our leaders are committed to growth, but also developing a larger, stronger core group of active and dedicated members who will partner with us in our mission: “To advocate, educate and collaborate for successful trucking operations in South Carolina.” Together, we work to strengthen the industry and the economy for future generations.
